There's a story behind this one. When out to dinner with our friend and her daughter one night, we watched as the kid made a bride and groom Dalek out of salt and pepper shakers. She tied one straw wrapper around the neck of the pepperpot for a bow tie, and another around the "head" of the salt shaker for a veil. So when my wife and I got married, we decided to make Dalek cake toppers. She took this picture at the wedding, but since the idea was at least partly mine, I decided to include it.
My wife bought wedding themed stickers from the arts and crafts store to put on for the bouquet, bowtie and veil (partly hidden here by the froofy cake topper behind the Daleks), and the groom's hat came from an action figure and is held on the head by sticking wax for candlesticks. |
